Warranty & Service

Warranty

All CENTSYS products are manufactured with extreme care, thoroughly inspected and tested.

Our goods come with guarantees that cannot be excluded under the Australian Consumer Law. You are entitled to a replacement or refund for a major failure and compensation for any other reasonably foreseeable loss or damage. You are also entitled to have the goods repaired or replaced if the goods fail to be of acceptable quality and the failure does not amount to a major failure.

In the event that the goods supplied by CENTSYS PACIFIC do not meet the expected quality of merchantable goods without being a major failure, then CENTSYS PACIFIC will comply with its obligations to either repair or replace the goods.

The goods supplied by CENTSYS PACIFIC shall be subject to the provisions of Australian Consumer Law (ACL) except where the provisions of the warranty contained in the CENTSYS product documentation are more favourable to the purchaser. Subject to the warranty contained in the CENTSYS product documentation, if applicable, CENTSYS products are warranted for a period of twenty-four months from date of sale. However, it is expressly noted that batteries carry a six-month warranty due to the nature of these products being such that they are subject to possible misuse.

Please note that warranties will be honoured on a carry-in basis; in other words, the product in question must be taken in to one of CENTSYS PACIFIC’s branches, or to the authorised CENTSYS PACIFIC reseller that the product was purchased from, for assessment and, if necessary, repair.

For equipment not of CENTSYS PACIFIC’s manufacture, the warranty as supplied by the original manufacturer will apply if such warranty is more favourable to the purchaser than the relevant provisions of the Australian Consumer Law (ACL). Such warranty is valid only once full payment has been received for such goods.

Any warranty may be voidable on any equipment which:

  1. Has not been installed in accordance with the installation instructions provided.
  2. Has been subject to misuse or which has been used for any purpose other than that designed for by the manufacturers.
  3. Has damage caused as a result of handling during transit, atmospheric conditions (including lightning), corrosion of metal parts, insect infestation, power surges or other forces outside of the control of CENTSYS PACIFIC.
  4. Has been repaired by any workshop and/or person NOT previously authorised by CENTSYS PACIFIC.
  5. Has been repaired with components not previously tested, passed or authorised by CENTSYS PACIFIC.

CENTSYS PACIFIC will not be liable under this contract for any loss or damage caused by us or our employees or agents in circumstances where:

  1. There has been a failure to install the product in accordance with the installation instructions provided by CENTSYS PACIFIC, or
  2. There has been a failure to abide by the safety instructions provided by CENTSYS PACIFIC, or
  3. There is no breach of a legal duty of care owed to you by us or by any of our employees or agents.

Repairs and Servicing – Terms and Conditions

All CENTSYS products are of the highest quality, completely reliable, and rarely need to be returned for repair.

In the case that repairs are required, please arrange for back-to-base return and send items to:

Wholesale Gate Automation
Unit 16, 14 Childs Road
Chipping Norton, NSW 2170

When returning an item, please include documentation with:

  • Your name
  • Phone number
  • Return address
  • A description of the issue

Please note: Labour and call-out charges are not covered by the factory warranty. In most cases, it is best to contact your installer first if you have concerns about your motor.

  • All CENTSYS products brought in for repair are serviced with extreme care, thoroughly inspected, and tested.
  • All repairs are subject to the relevant provisions of the Consumer Protection Act (68/2008) and are warranted against faulty materials and workmanship for three months from the repair’s invoice date.
  • Repairs to goods within the standard two-year warranty period are warranted for the unexpired portion of the original warranty, or three months from the repair date — whichever is greater and more beneficial to the customer.
  • A repair will not influence or extend the original product warranty.
  • A large team of dealers and installers in all major centres across Australia can provide onsite repair services.
  • All repairs or services on mechanical operators will be quoted and authorised by the client before commencement.
  • Spare parts are shipped within 24 hours of being ordered (except Sundays and Public Holidays).
  • Electronic circuit boards or devices will typically be exchanged with service exchange items. These will be charged at an exchange price when faulty items are returned, provided they are in repairable condition.
  • Products damaged beyond economical repair must be replaced with new items once the client approves the quote.
  • Testing only (without repair) does not extend any guarantee period.

Warranty on any repair will not apply to products that:

a) Have been subject to misuse, or used for a purpose other than intended by CENTSYS Systems.
b) Have not been installed in accordance with installation instructions.
c) Have been damaged due to transit handling, atmospheric conditions, insect infestation, power surges, acts of God, or other forces beyond CENTSYS Systems’ control.
d) Have been repaired by unauthorised persons or workshops.
e) Have been repaired with components not tested, passed, or authorised by CENTSYS Systems.

  • Customers must ensure that all items handed in for repair are correctly specified on the Service Notification or Goods Receipt Voucher.
  • Items not collected within three months will be sold to defray costs. This applies to:
    • Repaired items ready for collection
    • Items awaiting quote approval
    • Items where a quote has been rejected
  • To confirm ownership, clients must present the original Service Notification Email or Goods Receipt Voucher when collecting their repairs.
