Solenoid Locks

Solenoid gate locks are designed to secure swing gates, typically in the closed position, though they can sometimes be used to lock the gate open. They are compatible with both single-leaf and double-leaf swing gates (ensure the chosen lock style matches the gate design).

These locks are suitable for solar-powered systems. They operate via an electric impulse that moves the lock tongue to release from the stationary strike.

Electric gate locks are essential for single-leaf gates 2.5 m or wider, gates exposed to strong winds, gates with extensive cladding (acting like a large sail), or any installation where the gate must be secured.

Queensland Gate Automation recommends using a relay with all electronic lock installations.
